Pacific '42 Mission Pack

This is a package of 13 missions for CFS3 which are meant to portray historically plausible experiences of an American Wwildcat pilot on Guadalcanal in the fall of 1942. The missions are set during a single action-packed week of this period, rather than following the pilot through the entire campaign. This island of Corsica is used in the default theatre to represent Guadalcanal.

The missions also are meant to highlight the 1% pacific theatre planes, which must be installed in order for the missions to work. Also required are the freeware GroundCrew ships, the IS4G carrier HMS Eagle, and the freeware JustFlight scenery add-on which installs an airfield on Corsica.

WHAT NEEDS INSTALLING:

You must also install the GC CFS3 ships, the JustFlight Corsican airfield (or the 46th group Italian scenery package, which also includes this airfield) and the Pacific theatre planes used in the mission of interest.

1. The freeware planes are available from the AvHistory site . The missions use:

Japanese Fighters: A6M2 ZERO and Ki 43 OSCAR
Japanese Bombers: G4M1 BETTY and D3A1 VAL

American Fighters: FM2p WILDCAT
American Bombers: SBD5 DAUNTLESS and B26G


2. The freeware ships are available at the Ground Crew site . The carrier HMS Eagle is available at the IS4G site .


3. The freeware Corsican airfield is available from the Just Flight site (check the free downloads section), or as part of the 46th Design Group's Italian scenery, at 46th site .
